Description

19th c. Coffin and Hay glass flask.  This flask was made by the 19th c. American glass company “Dyottville Glass works” in Philadelphia and is embossed with the same as well. Flask was hand blown and is in excellent condition. The markings on this flask represent a portrait of George Washington and reads “The Father of Our Country” and the other side has a portrait of General Taylor and reads ” Gen. Taylor Never Surrenders”. Flask has the pontil scar on the bottom.  Similar examples are displayed in the Corning Museum of Glass.
