George III Chest of Drawers, England Ca. 1790
This Georgian bow front chest consists of 5 tiered cockbeaded drawer fronts are made of Mahogany. The top and sides of this chest are exceptional in that they are made of solid planks of Mahogany. The chest is supported by splay feet and handles that are ebonised to match the thin black line of inlay that gently outlines the top and accents the bottom of the Chest. Drawers have original paper and hand cut dovetails. The Chest is in excellent condition with all cockbeading in tact. There is one small split in the right side toward the top as seen in photo, apron 6″ in length.
